What Michigan permit holders should know
Michigan recognizes valid resident concealed pistol licenses from all U.S. states, DC, and Puerto Rico. Non-resident permits issued by another state are NOT honored.
Notable Michigan restrictions
- Non-resident must be 21+ and carry under license issued by their STATE OF RESIDENCE (not a non-resident permit)
- Must immediately disclose to officer that you are carrying when stopped
- Pistol-free zones include schools, day cares, sports arenas, taverns, places of worship, hospitals
