What Georgia permit holders should know
Georgia does not require a WCL to carry a firearm in Georgia. A WCL remains available to eligible residents for reciprocity when traveling.
Notable Georgia restrictions
- Permitless concealed carry for a lawful weapons carrier
- a Georgia WCL is still useful for reciprocity outside Georgia
- No carry in government buildings with security screening, courthouses, jails, or other prohibited locations
- Georgia does not issue ordinary WCLs to non-residents except qualifying military exceptions
